By accessing or using Albatross ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Albatross ("we," "us," or "our").
Albatross is a social fantasy golf application that allows users to create and participate in private golf pools with friends. Users form groups, select golfers for upcoming PGA tournaments, and compete based on real-world player performance. The App offers three game modes — Tiered Pick, Salary Cap, and One and Done — each designed for private groups of 5 to 100 people.
Albatross is designed for private friend groups where participants know each other. It is not a daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform, sportsbook, or wagering service.
Albatross is not a gambling platform. No real money is wagered between pool members through the App. The commissioner pays a flat fee to create a pool, and members join for free. There are no variable payouts, entry fees with prize pools, pari-mutuel mechanics, or house takes processed by the App.
Any prize arrangements among pool members are organized privately by participants and are not processed, facilitated, or guaranteed by Albatross. Betting odds displayed in the App's Research tab are sourced from third-party providers for informational and analytical purposes only; users cannot place bets through Albatross.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Albatross. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and that your use of the App complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. You are responsible for determining whether fantasy golf pools are permitted in your jurisdiction.
You must create an account to use Albatross. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Pools are private, invite-only contests among known participants. Each pool is created by a commissioner who manages settings, members, rules, and the invite code. The commissioner is responsible for the conduct of their pool and for communicating rules and expectations to members.
Albatross does not operate as a bookmaker, sportsbook, or contest operator. Albatross is not responsible for disputes between pool members regarding scoring, payouts, or any side arrangements made outside the App.
Albatross offers the following in-app purchase options:
Per-Pool Purchase: A one-time purchase of $4.99 (USD) to create a single pool.
Monthly Subscription: $9.99/month (USD) for unlimited pool creation. Subscription automatically renews each month.
Annual Subscription: $99.99/year (USD) for unlimited pool creation. Subscription automatically renews each year.
Joining a pool created by someone else is always free. The commissioner (pool creator) is the only person who pays.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to subscription benefits until that date.
No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or any part of the App's infrastructure; (c) manipulate or abuse the scoring, pick, or leaderboard systems; (d) share your account credentials with third parties; (e) use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App; (f) harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the in-pool chat feature; (g) upload or transmit content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights; (h) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
All content, design, trademarks, code, and data compilations within Albatross are the property of Albatross and its licensors. Player statistics, predictions, and course data are provided by DataGolf under license. Live leaderboard and scorecard data is provided by RapidAPI (Live Golf Data). Betting odds are provided by The Odds API. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App or its content without express written permission.
Player statistics, strokes gained breakdowns, course-fit projections, win probabilities, and betting odds displayed in the App are for informational, entertainment, and analytical purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed. Users should not rely on this data as the sole basis for any financial decisions.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Albatross shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to any losses from pool participation, data loss, scoring errors, or service interruptions, regardless of the theory of liability.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Albatross, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the App.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
